Made from solvent-refined mineral oils and enhanced by a Viscosity Index, Mobil ATF 220 is a high-end automatic gearbox fluid that also contains anti-oxidant, anti-wear, detergent, defoamant and friction-modifying additives. It can be applied in situations where Dexron II D fluids are advised.
It is designed to serve as a hydraulic fluid in control and servo systems, a power transmission fluid in torque converters, a lubricant for bearings and gears, a friction-controlling medium for the bands and clutches, and a heat-transfer medium to transfer heat produced in transmissions to the oil cooler or gear case.
